Tasters is now inside your AI assistant
Good news if you already ask your AI assistant which wine to open: it can now ask Tasters directly. It answers with real bottles in stock, their price and the link to order them.

We've just launched our MCP server, and it works with Claude and ChatGPT from today. Here's what it changes for you, and how to get set up in five minutes.
Why it's useful
An AI assistant knows wine in broad strokes. It knows a Chasselas works with fondue. But it doesn't know which bottles are available, what they cost, or what our sommeliers actually recommend. So it sometimes suggests a wine you can't buy in Switzerland, or a price from three years ago.
Once it's connected to Tasters, it gets its information from us. It answers with bottles in stock, their current price in CHF and the link to order them. And when we have a pairing guide for your dish, it gives you our sommeliers' picks first.
What is MCP?
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is a standard that lets an AI assistant plug into a service and fetch reliable information from it. Think of a power socket: Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini all use the same plug, and Tasters has just installed its socket. You connect it once, and from then on your assistant knows when to ask Tasters.
What your assistant can do with Tasters
Recommend a bottle. For a dish, an apéro, a gift or a budget. Write the way you'd talk to a friend, it takes care of the rest.
Answer your wine questions. A producer, a grape, a region, a pairing: it relies on our wine pages and guides instead of fuzzy memories.
Manage your cellar. Tell it you were given two bottles of Calamin and it adds them. Open one and it updates the count. And on the evening you can't decide what to open, it checks what you already have at home.
It answers in your language: English, French, German or Italian.
A real example
We asked Claude: "Which wine for a moitié-moitié fondue on Friday night, CHF 25 max?"
It checked with Tasters and suggested two Chasselas from Lavaux that Tasters matches with fondue: the 2025 Calamin Grand Cru from Stéphane Porchet at CHF 19.80, and the 2023 St-Saphorin Le Sémillant from Cave Champ de Clos at CHF 20.00. For each one, it added two lines on why it works and the link to the wine page.
Your data stays in your hands
The first time, you sign in with your Tasters account. A screen tells you exactly what the assistant will be able to do: search our catalogue, and view and manage the wines in your cellar. Nothing more. You can remove that access whenever you like.
The assistant never orders for you. It gives you the link, and you confirm your order yourself on tasters.ch.
Where it works
- Claude: on every plan, including the free one.
- ChatGPT: for now on Pro, Business and Enterprise plans, from the website.
- Gemini: Google still limits this feature to the United States. We'll let you know as soon as it reaches Switzerland.
We've written a step-by-step guide for each assistant: how to connect Tasters to ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini. Allow five minutes.
AI at Tasters isn't new
We've been using it for a while to make your life easier. Find the perfect wine suggests a bottle based on what you're eating, and The Sommelier Challenge lets you play with food and wine pairings. The MCP server is the natural next step: instead of you coming to our website, Tasters comes to the tool you already use every day.
This new category, Wine and AI, will cover all of it: what we build, what we test, and how you can make the most of it.
Next time you're planning Saturday dinner, just ask your assistant what it recommends with your dish. You'll get a bottle, its price and the link to have it delivered to your door.
You have the ideas.
We have the perfect wine.
Tired of overthinking your wine choice? Just tell us in a few words why you need a bottle and we'll find the perfect wine in under a minute.
