About this wine
This Gamaret from Bernard Cavé is a beautiful introduction to one of Switzerland's most exciting native grape varieties. With its deep ruby color and silky tannins, it's a wine that rewards patience but also delivers immediate pleasure.
On the nose, you'll find lovely aromas of blackcurrants and blackberries that unfold gradually. The palate is well-structured with a spicy attack, where red fruits take center stage. The tannins are supple and silky, leading to a smooth finish.
This wine pairs wonderfully with Swiss classics like fondue chinoise or a hearty beef stew. It's built for aging, so consider cellaring it for two to three years if you can wait. Serve at 16-18°C, and decant for at least an hour before serving to let it breathe.
