About this wine

Calamin is one of the smallest grand cru vineyards in Switzerland, just a few hectares of steep terraces above Lake Geneva. Stéphane Porchet works this rare parcel with chasselas, a grape that speaks quietly but says a lot about where it grows.

In the glass, almonds and yellow fruit come first, carried by a light bitterness that pulls you back for another sip. On the palate, freshness and stony minerality sit in careful balance, then the finish turns round and generous.

Serve it slightly chilled, around 10 to 12°C, with perch fillets straight from the lake or a simple half-and-half fondue. It's a wine best opened at a table looking out over the water where its vines grow.
