Clos Puy Arnaud isn't a name you stumble upon by accident, it's the address serious Bordeaux lovers pass on to each other. This 2022 blend of merlot and cabernet franc from Côtes de Castillon is the kind of bottle you open when you want the evening to slow down a little.

In the glass, it's deep purple, almost black at the edges. The nose opens on wild berries, violet and a chalky, spiced note, then the palate turns dense and harmonious, raspberry and blackcurrant carried by real freshness and a whisper of spice. The finish stretches out long, full and silky.

Pour it alongside venison or duck breast, or let it sit next to a plate of lamb skewers for a rustic evening. Decant it for at least an hour before serving, at room temperature between 16 and 18°C.
