About this wine
This Vacqueyras from Alain Jaume brings the sun-drenched intensity of the Southern Rhône right to your glass. It's a bold blend of Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre that delivers power with elegance.
The nose opens with candied red and black fruits, think kirsch, blackcurrant, and wild blackberry. On the palate, it's full-bodied and generous, with a lovely spicy character that keeps things interesting. The finish surprises with subtle liquorice and pepper notes that linger beautifully.
This wine pairs brilliantly with grilled lamb chops, a hearty beef stew, or aged hard cheeses. Decant it for at least an hour before serving at 16-18°C to let those Southern Rhône flavors fully express themselves.
