Cave du Cep

Founded in 1991 by Jacques and Roland Félix, Cave du Cep is a family-run winery located in the heart of the Neuchâtel vineyards. The estate covers 7 hectares, situated mainly on the territory of the commune of Cortaillod, renowned for its slopes diving into Lake Neuchâtel. This is where the story begins, in one of Switzerland's most charming wine regions, where vineyards meet the lake in a landscape that has been shaped by winemaking for over 2000 years.

The terraced vineyards are primarily located on the slopes of Cortaillod overlooking Lake Neuchâtel and on the territory of the commune of Auvernier where Chasselas and Chardonnay are produced. Facing south, the vines are cultivated in mid-high and low Guyot training systems. The lake acts as a thermal regulator while the Jura mountains protect the vineyards from Atlantic currents, creating ideal conditions for grape ripening.

Jacques and Martine Félix take pleasure in welcoming you and having you taste the estate's wines. The family approach is genuine here. Combining respect for tradition and modern techniques and winemaking, Cave du Cep offers 9 crus characteristic of Neuchâtel wines. The estate obtained the integrated production (IP) diploma, which officially certifies that the winegrower uses products that protect the environment, and this since 1993. This commitment to sustainable viticulture runs deep, long before it became fashionable.

The estate cultivates 7 hectares planted mainly with Pinot Noir as a red grape variety and Chasselas for white wine production. Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Gamaret, Garanoir, Galotta and Gamerlot complete the range of grape varieties. Cave du Cep offers a broad selection of the finest wines that grow in the Neuchâtel region, amongst them Pinot noir, Chardonnay and Oeil de Perdrix. The range showcases the diversity of Neuchâtel's terroir, from fresh whites to elegant reds and the region's signature rosé.
