About this wine
This Marsannay from Domaine Huguenot is a beautiful entry point into the world of Burgundy's Côte de Nuits. The 2021 vintage brings fresh, elegant Pinot Noir that captures the essence of this often-overlooked appellation at the northern edge of the famous wine region.
On the nose and palate, you'll find bright red cherry and raspberry notes, complemented by subtle earthy undertones and a hint of spice. The wine shows lovely balance with silky tannins and refreshing acidity, making it approachable now while still having the structure to develop over the next few years. At 13% alcohol, it remains graceful and food-friendly rather than heavy.
Serve this at 16-18°C alongside roasted chicken, grilled salmon, or a classic beef bourguignon. It also pairs beautifully with mushroom risotto or aged Comté cheese. If you're planning to keep it for a year or two, it will reward your patience with even more complexity.
