This Costières de Nîmes from Château de Valcombe is a beautiful expression of southern Rhône winemaking, where Syrah and Grenache come together in perfect harmony. It's the kind of red that makes you want to slow down and enjoy the moment.

The wine shows a deep ruby color with purple hints. On the nose, you'll find concentrated black fruits and dark cherries, backed by subtle mineral notes. The palate is full and generous, with silky tannins that have melted beautifully into the wine. The finish lingers with blackcurrant, licorice and warm spices, all wrapped in refreshing acidity.

This pairs wonderfully with grilled lamb chops, beef stew or aged cheeses. Decant it for about an hour before serving at 16-18°C to let it open up fully.
