This Gigondas from Alain Jaume & Fils showcases the beautiful terraced vineyards of Montmirail, where old Grenache vines thrive on clay-limestone soils. It's a classic southern Rhône blend that delivers authentic character without pretension.

The nose opens with ripe red berries and black cherries, followed by hints of garrigue herbs, lavender and a touch of pepper. On the palate, you'll find concentrated dark fruit flavors wrapped in silky tannins, with notes of liquorice and Mediterranean spices adding complexity. The finish is long and warming, showing the perfect balance between power and elegance.

This wine pairs beautifully with grilled lamb chops, beef daube provençale, or a hearty cassoulet. It also works wonderfully with aged hard cheeses. Decant for at least an hour before serving to let it open up fully, and serve at 16-18°C to enjoy all its layers.
