This southern French gem from the legendary M. Chapoutier is a wine that punches well above its weight, offering incredible depth and character from the sun-drenched hills of Roussillon. The name "Occultum Lapidem" means "hidden stone," a nod to the ancient schist soils that give this wine its distinctive mineral backbone.

On the nose, you'll find an intoxicating mix of ripe blackberries, dark cherries, and wild herbs like thyme and rosemary. The palate is rich and generous, with the Syrah bringing structure and peppery notes, while Grenache adds luscious red fruit, and old-vine Carignan contributes earthy complexity and firm tannins. There's a beautiful balance between power and elegance, with a long, satisfying finish marked by hints of dark chocolate and Mediterranean garrigue.
