The deep ruby color hints at what's inside: ripe black fruits, licorice, warm spices and a touch of tobacco leaf on the nose. On the palate, it's silky and enveloping with beautiful density and length. The finish lingers with notes of ripe black fruits, licorice, coffee and dark chocolate.
This wine loves rich pasta dishes like pappardelle al cinghiale or osso buco, but it's equally at home with grilled ribeye or aged pecorino. Serve at 16-18°C to let all those flavors shine through.
