About this wine
This Pinot Noir from Domaine des Curiades is the kind of bottle you buy two of: one to open tonight, one to forget in the cellar. Geneva doesn't always get credit for its reds, but Julien and Christophe Dupraz have been proving otherwise for years.
In the glass, you get red berries and a touch of sour cherry, wrapped in tannins that feel silky rather than gripping. The palate is round, full and generous, the kind of texture that makes you pour a second glass without thinking twice.
Give it two to four years in the bottle and it opens up into something richer, so patience pays off here. Pour it now with grilled pork or duck breast, and save a bottle for venison down the road. Serve it at 16 to 18 degrees, no need to decant.
