About this wine
Bernard Cavé's Chardonnay from the Chablais region is a textbook example of what this Swiss appellation does best with the grape. It's elegant, mineral-driven, and shows real finesse from the 2019 vintage.
On the nose, you'll find white-fleshed fruits mingling with hints of fresh butter. The palate reveals a very pleasant acidity that highlights the richness of this vintage, while a velvety texture carries through to a long, mineral finish.
This is a classic pairing for fish, shellfish, or poultry in cream sauce. Serve it at around 10-12°C to let those mineral notes shine through.
