About this wine
This Fleurie from Domaine Grégoire Hoppenot is a pure expression of Gamay from one of Beaujolais's most elegant crus. The Clos de l'Amandier vineyard gives this 2023 vintage a graceful character that captures everything you'd want in a Fleurie.
On the nose, you'll find delicate aromas of red berries, violets, and a hint of white pepper. The palate is silky and refined, with bright cherry and raspberry flavors dancing across your tongue. There's a lovely mineral edge that adds complexity, while the gentle tannins and fresh acidity keep everything perfectly balanced.
This is the kind of wine that shines with charcuterie, roasted chicken, or a classic coq au vin. It's also wonderful with soft cheeses like Brie or Camembert. Serve it slightly chilled at around 14°C to bring out all those beautiful floral and fruit notes.
