About this wine
This young Médoc from Clos Manou brings together the classic Bordeaux blend in a vibrant, approachable style that's perfect for discovering what the Left Bank is all about. At 14%, it packs enough structure to feel serious without being intimidating.
On the nose, you'll find ripe blackcurrant and plum, with hints of cedar and a touch of spice from the Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. The palate is smooth and well-rounded, thanks to the Merlot softening the Cabernet's firm tannins, while Cabernet Franc adds a lovely freshness and aromatic lift. It's youthful and fruit-forward now, with enough grip to handle hearty dishes.
Serve this at 16-18°C alongside grilled rib-eye steak, roast lamb with herbs, or a classic beef bourguignon. It's also brilliant with aged hard cheeses like Gruyère or Comté. If you're feeling patient, decant it for about an hour before serving to let those flavors open up beautifully.
