About this wine
This Volnay from Domaine Jean-Jacques Girard showcases everything beautiful about old-vine Pinot Noir from Burgundy's Côte de Beaune. The 2022 vintage brings freshness and elegance to these historic vineyards.
The nose opens with vibrant red fruit aromas that lead to a palate that's both ample and silky. The wine has real structure, with fine tannins that balance beautifully with the fruit. This harmony gives the wine excellent ageing potential, developing more complexity over the next 5 to 8 years.
Perfect with duck breast, grilled lamb chops, or a classic boeuf bourguignon. Decant for at least an hour before serving to let the wine breathe, and serve at 16-18°C to fully appreciate its elegance.
