About this wine
This vibrant Barbera d'Alba from Alberto Ballarin is the kind of red that brings joy to your table without any fuss. It's a classic Piedmontese wine that punches above its weight, offering genuine character and food-friendly charm that makes it perfect for casual dinners and everyday moments.
The nose opens with fresh red cherries and plums, while the palate delivers bright acidity that keeps everything lively and refreshing. You'll find juicy fruit flavors balanced by a subtle earthiness typical of the Alba region, with soft tannins that make this wine incredibly approachable. The 14% alcohol is well integrated, giving the wine body without any heaviness.
Serve this at around 16-18°C alongside classic Italian dishes like pasta with tomato sauce, mushroom risotto, or grilled sausages. It's also fantastic with pizza topped with prosciutto and arugula, or a simple roasted chicken with herbs. The bright acidity cuts through richer foods beautifully, making it a versatile companion for your weeknight cooking.

Very good
J'aime vraiment beaucoup.
