About this wine

This Barolo from Alberto Ballarin's Bricco Rocca vineyard is a serious wine that deserves your attention. The 2012 vintage has had over a decade to develop, and it shows beautifully.

In the glass, you'll find classic Nebbiolo elegance with layers of dried roses, tar, and red cherry. The tannins have softened with age but still provide structure, while notes of leather, tobacco, and a hint of truffle add complexity. The finish is long and persistent, with that characteristic grip that makes Barolo so distinctive.

This wine calls for rich, hearty dishes. Think braised short ribs, wild mushroom risotto, or aged Parmigiano-Reggiano. Decant it for at least an hour before serving to let it open up fully, and serve at around 16-18°C to appreciate all its nuances.
