This Chianti Classico Riserva from Antico Podere Gagliole is a beautiful expression of Sangiovese from Tuscany's most celebrated wine region. It's the kind of bottle that transforms a simple dinner into something memorable.
The wine shows an intense ruby red color with violet reflections. On the nose, you'll find ripe blackberry and blueberry aromas, delicate violet notes, and hints of licorice and Mediterranean herbs. The palate delivers the classic Sangiovese character with bright acidity and structured tannins that promise good aging potential.
This Riserva pairs wonderfully with bistecca alla fiorentina, wild boar ragu, or aged pecorino cheese. Decant it for at least an hour before serving, and serve at a temperature between 16°C and 18°C to let all those beautiful aromas unfold.
