About this wine
This Syrah from the Chablais region spent time in barrique, bringing out the best of its fruit character. It's a wine that shows the potential of this grape variety in the Swiss Alps, crafted by Domaine Croix Duplex in the Aigle district.
The nose reveals intense aromas of blackberries and spices. On the palate, it's powerful and honest, with liquorice-tinged tannins that coat your mouth with rich, satisfying sensations. The structure is solid, the finish persistent.
This wine pairs beautifully with grilled meats, a hearty beef stew, or aged cheeses like Gruyère. Decant it for at least an hour before serving to let it breathe, and serve at a temperature between 16°C and 18°C.
