About this wine
Picture a Friday evening with friends, nothing fancy, just good company and a bottle that doesn't ask for attention but gets it anyway. This Gamay from Domaine de la Treille, grown on the shores of La Côte, is exactly that kind of wine: easy to love, honest in what it gives you.
Low yields here mean the grapes get properly ripe before they reach the cellar, giving this Gamay more concentration than you'd expect while keeping the tannins soft and round. In the glass it's all fresh red berries, something like crushed raspberry, with a lively streak that keeps every sip moving.
Pour it alongside a charcuterie board or grilled chicken, and don't hesitate to bring it to the table for raclette too. Serve it slightly chilled, around 13°C, to let that freshness really sing.
