About this wine
This elegant white Burgundy from the Côte Chalonnaise offers exceptional value for those seeking the finesse of Chardonnay without the premium price tag of its more famous neighbors. The Jacqueson family has been crafting wines in Rully for generations, and their La Pucelle premier cru vineyard consistently delivers wines of remarkable purity and character.
In the glass, you'll discover bright citrus notes dancing with white flowers and a subtle hint of hazelnut. The palate is beautifully balanced, with a crisp minerality that carries flavors of green apple and lemon zest through to a refreshing, lingering finish. There's a lovely tension here between the wine's richness and its vibrant acidity.
This Chardonnay shines alongside grilled fish, roasted chicken with herbs, or a creamy risotto. Serve it slightly chilled at around 12°C to fully appreciate its aromatic complexity. It's drinking beautifully now, but will happily age for another 3-5 years if you're patient enough to wait.
