About this wine
Domaine de Beauvent's Chasselas is the bottle you open on a Friday evening, when the week is done and you just want something easy and honest in the glass. This is Geneva's signature grape, grown here the way it's always been, and it shows.
In the glass it's pale and bright, almost translucent. The nose stays light, fresh citrus with a touch of walnut. On the palate the acidity is lively and clean, the fruit never gets heavy, and the finish fades gently rather than lingering.
Pour it with scallops or a plate of goat cheese, it's built for that kind of easy sharing, and appetizers work just as well alongside it. Serve it well chilled, around 10 to 12 degrees, and drink this vintage while it's young.
