Bernex lies in the green countryside of Geneva, about twenty minutes from the famous Jet d'eau. The vines of Domaine de Beauvent grow there, on a mix of clay and molasse. This Pinot Noir comes from that soil.

Pour it and you'll see a red of medium depth with purple glints. Raspberry and cherry come first, then a touch of violet flowers. The fruit hits right away on the first sip, followed by fine tannins that feel a little dry, like black tea. The taste stays a good while after you swallow.

Serve it at 14-16°C with roasted chicken, rabbit or a veal roast. A good bottle for a table where everyone wants something different.
