About this wine
Pour that friend who says they don't really like Chardonnay a glass of this one, and watch them change their mind. Domaine de Beauvent keeps things simple here: no oak, just tank fermentation, letting the fruit speak on its own terms.
In the glass it's pale and bright, almost crystalline. The nose opens on white flowers and ripe fruit, then the palate turns riper still, with mango and citrus wrapped around a streak of minerality and a touch of toasted almond. The finish stays balanced, rich but never heavy, closing on a harmonious note.
This is the kind of white that goes with sea bream straight off the grill, or a terrine and pâté board if you're keeping things casual, and it holds its own next to roasted chicken too. Serve it chilled, around 10 to 12 degrees, and let it wake up in the glass for a few minutes before you dig in.
