About this wine
This barrel-aged Chardonnay from Neuchâtel shows what happens when you give a wine time to develop its full character. The Caves du Château d'Auvernier has crafted something rich and layered that rewards patience.
In the glass, you'll find a complex white with beautiful depth. Twelve months in oak barrels have added subtle vanilla notes that weave through the wine and linger elegantly on the finish. The richness is there, but it's balanced and refined.
This is perfect with creamy dishes like fondue or a grilled lake fish with beurre blanc sauce. Decant it for an hour before serving at 10-12°C to let all those aromas open up properly.
