About this wine
Picture a Sunday lunch with friends, a rack of lamb roasting slowly, and this bottle open on the table. Yann Chave has been crafting Crozes-Hermitage from Syrah for generations, and this cuvée domaine carries the signature of the estate.
In the glass, it's deep purple with violet glints, bright and inviting. The nose opens on juicy blackberry and blackcurrant, lifted by a touch of violet. On the palate, the entry is soft, the middle fills out with ample, rich fruit and a subtle note of eucalyptus, before finishing fresh and gourmand.
Pour it with grilled meats or that rack of lamb, and it will happily stand up to cured sausages as well. Serve at 16 to 18°C, simply pull the cork and let it open up for a few minutes before pouring.
